ACT Test Info

ACT information can be found at http://www.actstudent.org

Colleges/Universities require that students take the SAT Reasoning Test or ACT for college admission (check with the colleges/universities of interest to see requirements).  It is recommended that students take the SAT Reasoning Test and/or ACT during their junior year.  Seniors can retake the tests early in the fall if they want to improve their scores.  This test consists of 4 sections: English, Math, Reading and Science Reasoning.  There is also an "optional" Writing section -- it is recommended that students take the Writing section because many colleges require it.  Scores are reported on a scale of 1-36 for each section.

Registration

  • Students may register online.
  • Paper registration forms are available in the guidance office
  • Cost for the ACT w/writing is $48.00  (fee waivers available for students who qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch Program)
