Meet Coach Golden

Girls Head Coach - Wendy W. Golden

I am entering my 28th year teaching Art and coaching in Lawrence Township.  I started my career teaching and coaching at Craig middle school where I coached Cross Country and Track for 15 plus years in addition to some seasons of Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball.  I also spent 7 years coaching Track at Lawrence North. This will be my first year back in 7 years after waiting for my youngest to start high school.  I come from a family rich in the running tradition. My husband, brother and father all coach Cross Country and Track.  In my collegiate career I ran at the Division I level.  I continue to train for half marathons.  I’m excited to get Lawrence Central Bears excited about running in high school and hope they enjoy it enough to continue running for the rest of their lives.
