Geoff Gordon brings over 25 years of coaching experience and leadership to his role as the Head Coach of Varsity Boys Soccer team at Lawrence Central High School. With a strong background in player development, modern training techniques, and team evaluations, Coach Gordon is dedicated to fostering both athletic and academic success for his players. Holding a USSF National D License, a National Youth License, and a Rene Meulensteen Method Certification, Coach Gordon's approach emphasizes growth, teamwork, and technical proficiency on the field.

Coach Gordon's coaching career includes stints as the Head Boys Junior Varsity Coach at Lawrence North High School from 2018 to 2022, but most importantly was the Assistant Boys Varsity Coach here at Lawrence Central High School for the past 2 years in which the team boasts an overall record of 20-11-3 and won the MIC conference for the 1st time in school history this past fall. He has also coached with FC Pride Soccer Club and served as Director of Coaching at Lawrence Soccer Club, where he successfully developed players of all ages and skill levels.  His background also features coaching at multiple high schools in Ohio as well as various soccer clubs and Olympic development levels, as well as working in player evaluation and goalkeeper development. 

As a player, Coach Gordon was a standout on the field, earning multiple honors including a selection as a high school All-American and the Ohio Offensive Player of the Year in 1990. He was also a member of several Olympic Development Program teams and played for both the All-Navy and All-Armed Forces soccer teams.

In addition to his coaching career, Coach Gordon excels as a Lead Software Engineer at AT&T, where he applies his technical expertise and leadership skills. His ability to mentor, manage teams, and oversee project development translates seamlessly to his coaching philosophy, where he focuses on creating a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Coach Gordon's passion for soccer is deeply rooted in his family life. He and his wife Jan are proud parents of four children: Devin (married to Annalee and residing in Pennsylvania), Alexander and Zachary (both attending Ball State University), and Jorja (a student at Lawrence North High School). Coach Gordon is also a proud grandfather to Xavier and Evangeline, and he looks forward to instilling his love for soccer in the next generation.

Coach Gordon is excited to continue building a strong soccer program at Lawrence Central High School, where he can support the growth and development of his players both on and off the field. Coach Gordon's experience in both soccer and his professional career makes him well-equipped to lead Lawrence Central High School’s boys' soccer program to continued success. His dedication to developing players, fostering teamwork, and providing leadership will inspire his athletes to excel both on the field and in life.
