Coach Taylor began playing tennis in the NJTL program and went on to play at IUPUI where he played both #1 singles and #1 doubles for the Jaguars.

Coach Taylor worked with many different athletes at a variety of levels from high school to the professional ranks while working at the National Institute of Fitness and Sport. He has also coached at Old Dominion University and was the assistant pro at Greenbrier Country Club.

Coach Taylor first took over the LC tennis program in 2007 and led the team to three consecutive sectional championships. He returned to the program in 2020 after taking a break for health reasons and looks to build on his earlier success with the Bears tennis program.
